  HOME FROM THE MEH-MORIAL....GETS WORSE EVERY YEAR.....

  well, i walked in and got the love-bombing before i even made it past the foyer.

  everyone's missed me, everyone's thrilled that i came, blah, blah, blah.

  to be fair though, there were a few there that i do miss so it was nice to see them.

  Mary, question for you or anyone else who attended the memorial.......

  Our speaker, who was again imported from Bethel, said something to the effect that....... 'everyone must (and he stressed the word must) attend meetings regularly.'

  It came across as a threat more than anything else, and also as a disperate attempt to get congregation meeting attendance up.

  I got the impression from that statement that WTBTS is feeling the pinch of more & more JWs are missing more & more meetings.

  Did you hear a similar statement?

  This Years Memeorial and MY heartbreak

  so...this years memorial came and went.. on saturday my mom called to invite my wife, myself and my two little girls to the memorial on sunday, i said thank you but said that we won't be going.. on sunday my older sister called inviting us also.. we didn't go, since my eldest daughter asked about it, i explaine dit to her and asked my wife and her if they wanted to do it at home and they said yes.. so after dinner, we all partook of our lord's sacrifice and i explained to my daughters how the taking in of christ's body and blood is symbolic for become one with christ and god.. we always remember christ and his sacrifice and last meal whenever we eat and "say grace" but, becuase of the whoel memorial meal thing, we decided to do a little more.. i read from luke and john.. it was very nice, very special.. then this morning at 8:30 am my mom calls and reams me for 40 min over the phone.. why anyone would think that i or anyone else would want to be a part of an organization that fills people with som much venom and spit, is beyond me.. she basically said that she gives up on me, that i am taken by satan, that satan is working through me and leading me and tha her heart is borken for my little girls.. my mother.... my heart is broken, there is a pain in my gut....

  With the retention rate being as low as it is (think 1/3) of JW children not wanting much to do with the JW religion, I imagine that there are tons of heart broken JW parents bickering over why their kids didn't attend memorial.

  I'm a JW parent, and honestly I can't blame any JW children for not wanting to attend the event.

  What 'sincere, well-thought-out words?'

  It isn't as though the comments by JWs, for example, at the Watchtower Study are self-generated. If the JWs are not reciting word for word what is in the paragraph, they at best are just rearranging the words to make it appear 'sincere, well-thought-out words spoken in praise of the true God.'

  JWs don't have a clue what the hell heck they are saying, especially when it is a deep and meaty subject.

  JWs=sincere puppets, parrots.

  Par 10 says in part:.....'The zeal with which they preach the good news proves where their priorities lie.'

  What zeal? The word zeal is defined as...... 'enthusiastic devotion to a cause, ideal or goal.'

  This definition does not fit the reasons why JWs preach from door to door.

  JW's preach from door to door because if they don't they stand to lose 'exemplary status' in the congregation. If they don't preach they are also viewed as a weak JW. And who wants to be viewed as WEAK?

  Others put in at least the national average otherwise they stand to lose privileges.

  Others put in 'pioneer' hours cause they really, really want to look good before men.

  JWs do not preach because they are zealous for fine works. Far from it. JWs are men pleasers, bottom line.

  As an example: JWs, especially the servant body, are on their best behavior when the 'big Kahuna', the C.O., makes his rounds.

  JWs= ZEAL MEN PLEASERS

  Sorry, this is another sore subject with me!
